2. What is the best time to take the helicopter yatra?
The ideal time for the helicopter yatra is during the pilgrimage season, from May to October. However, the months of May, June, and September are often considered the best as the weather is more stable, and there is less rainfall compared to July and August.
3. What is the duration of the Badrinath Kedarnath Helicopter Yatra?
The yatra can usually be completed within a single day or sometimes over two days depending on the package you choose and weather conditions.
4. Where does the helicopter service operate from?
The helicopter service typically operates from Dehradun, but some packages may offer services from Phata, Guptkashi, or Sitapur for Kedarnath. For Badrinath, the service is usually from Dehradun or nearby helipads.
5. What is the cost of the helicopter yatra?
The cost can vary depending on the operator, time of booking, and services provided, but it generally ranges from INR 100,000 to INR 1,50,000 per person for both Badrinath and Kedarnath, including return trips. Single-route trips or chartered helicopters may have different pricing.
6. How many passengers can a helicopter accommodate?
Most helicopters used for the yatra can accommodate 4 to 6 passengers. The exact number depends on the helicopter model and weight restrictions.
7. Are there any weight restrictions for passengers?
