Gujarat has always been a major centre for the Jains and some of its most interesting locations are the Jain Temple centres at Palitana and Girnar Hills. Besides the Jain temples, the state’s major attractions include the only habitat of the Asiatic Lions in India (Gir Forests), a desert ride at the Wild Ass Sanctuary and the beautiful Indo-Saracenic Architecture of Ahmedabad. The colourful tribal villages of Kutch make a visit unforgettable.

Tour Itinerary

Day 01: Ahmedabad – Little Rann of Kutch (Approx. 90kms/2hrs)

 

Today, proceed to Little Rann of Kutch. On arrival check in to the resort. Explore the desert by open jeep in the Little Rann of Kutch, where one can sight animals like Wild-Ass, Desert Fox, Blue Bull, Blackbuck, Wolf, Jackal and few species of snakes & many species of birds also one can visit the home of Rabari and Banjara are the two important tribes of the region. Overnight stay at Little Rann of Kutch.

 

Day 02: Little Rann of Kutch – Bhuj (Approx. 285kms/6hrs)

 

Today morning after breakfast, check out from the hotel & later proceed to Bhuj. On arrival check in to the hotel. Balance day free for leisure. At evening visit Swaminarayan temple. Overnight stay at the hotel.

 

Day 03: Bhuj Local Sightseeing & Bhujodi

 

Today morning after breakfast proceed to visit places like Aina Mahal Museum, Pragmahal Museum, Bhartiya Sanskriti Darsan Exhibition & Cenotaphs of Royal Family. After noon proceed to visit Hiralaxmi Memorial Craft Museum at Bhujodi. Balance day free for leisure. Overnight stay at hotel.

 

Day 04: Bhuj – Banni & Pachham Region – Great Rann of Kutch (Dhordo) (Approx. 175kms/4hrs)

 

Today, morning after breakfast check out from the hotel & proceed to visit Hodka Village & Dhordo village, Enroute visit of explore the Banni and Pachcham regions and the edge of the Great Rann of Kutch. Later proceed to Dhordo village. The Dhordo Village is set on the edge of Indo-Pak border, north of Bhuj and is renowned for its White desert, bird watching and craft Villages. Kutch Ranotsav (Dec-Jan) has made Dhordo a renowned destination. Dhordo also provides excellent opportunity for guests for bird watching around the area in winter (Oct-March) when a lot of Migratory birds arrive for nesting. Villages around here is where experiential travellers arrive for visiting craft villages. Overnight stay at resort.

 

Day 05: Great Rann of Kutch Excursion to Tribal Village & Kalo Dungar (Approx. 175kms/4hrs)

 

Today morning after breakfast proceed to visit some villages, Bhirandiyara village, Ludiya village and Khavda village. Later visit Kalo Dungar (Black Hill) and Dattatray Temple, which provides the view of the Great Rann & sunset. Later back to Dhordo. Overnight stay at the hotel.

 

Day 06: Great Rann – Matano Madh – Lakhapat – Narayan Sarovar – Koteshwar – Nakhtrana (Approx. 350kms/7hrs)

 

Today morning after breakfast proceed to Nakhtrana via visit Mata no Madh – the famous temple of Ashapura Mata. At Lakhpat visit Lakhpat Fort, unique Gurudwara and a beautiful tomb of Gosh Muhammad (famous saint) constructed with hard black stone. Visit Narayan Sarovar is one of the most sacred sites in Hindu religion and is considered to be the third sacred. Also visit Koteshwer Shiva Temple. Later depart to Nakhatrana. On arrival check in to the hotel. Balance Da Free at Leisure to Explore the Wildlife around. Overnight stay at hotel.

 

Day 07: Nakhtrana – Mandvi (Approx. 150kms/3hrs)

 

Today, proceed to the coastal town Mandvi. Visit Vijay Villas Palace – summer retreat of the royal family. Balance day The day free for many activities based on your interest like, Visit hipping Yard at Mandvi Port one can go and visit the men at work, shaping the great vessels with hand tools and coaxing the seasoned timber into shape. The carrying capacity of these boats can vary from 250 tons to 1000 tons. or spend the balance day at the Beach. Overnight stay at the hotel.

 

Day 08: Mandvi – Ahmedabad (Approx. 390kms – 7.5hrs)

 

Today morning after breakfast check out from the hotel & proceed to Ahmedabad for Drop you to Airport / railway station, return Home with Happy Memories of Gujarat “Khushboo Gujarat Ki”.
