Jatoli with Yulla Lake Kanda Trek

Tour Details

The trek length to reach Yulla Lake is of 12 km from this base village, which goes through the dense forest of oak, pine and deodar trees, then leading into the meadows, and finally towards the holy lake. People from all over Kinnaur and other parts of Himachal Pradesh visit this holy lake during Janmashtami festival to celebrate the birth of Lord Krishna. In addition, people from Kalpa and Pangi village go through arduous trek via Kashang Pass (4,800m) to reach this lake. One can also approach Kafnu village via Listigarang Pass (4,680m) located towards North-West of Yulla lake. From Kafnu one can further continue the trek towards Bhabha Pass, a gateway from Kinnaur to Spiti.

 

Furthermore, an hour trek towards the North-East of Yulla Lake will take you to Rora Kanda (3,900m), where one can do the overnight camping with the breathtaking view of passes around. On a clear sunny bright day, one can also witness Buran Pass from Yulla Kanda. Buran pass is the gateway to Chandernahan Lakes, which is the source of Pabbar river flowing through Rohru and finally which gets merged with Yamuna river. It should be noted that to have a beautiful experience of Yulla, one can visit this place in May month when it's full of snow and mesmerizing beauty all around. Tour Itinerary

Day 01: Chandigarh -Kausuli Local Sightseeing

 

On arrival Chandigarh railway station/airport from there, you will meet and assist by our representative and now you will drive to Kasauli. ( 58km, 02 hours’ journey). Local sightseeing tour of Kasauli Visit: Sunrise Point, Sanawar Nature Camp For Outdoor Activities, Church of England, Kali Mata Temple, Monkey Point The Hanuman Temple, Baba Balak Nath Mandir, Gilbert Nature Trail Etc. later back to hotel take dinner and overnight stay at Kasauli.

 

Day 02: Kausuli – Solan – Kasauli

 

After breakfast and drive to Solan sightseeing (25 Km 01 hour). Mohan heritage park, Ashwanikhad, Jatoli temple Aisha top no. 1 Temple height wise Jawahar park, Karol Tibba, Maa Shoolni temple, The menri monastery. dinner & an overnight stay at the hotel.

 

Day 03: Kasauli – Simla  

 

After breakfast check out from the hotel and now ready drive to Simla (75 km 31/2 hrs)Arrival in Shimla freshen up and take rest enjoy Mall road in the evening Dinner at the Hotel.

 

Day 04: Simla to Yulla Khas Village

 

Breakfast Check out and start your journey towards Tapri, Kinnaur from Shimla at around 11am in the morning in comfortable Ennova Traveller, reach Yulla Khas village in the evening. Night stay and dinner at a homestay with an awesome view of the village.

 

Day 05: Yulla Kanda Trek tribe base

 

Rise up early and after breakfast start trekking towards Yulla Kanda Trekatribe Base Camp (8 km, 4-5 hours). The trail goes through a dense forest and then into the meadows where we will camp for the next 2 days. Briefing about the ranges, passes, and peaks visible from there. Stargazing, dinner, and night stay in tents.

 

** For any reason if group will not be able to travel guide will split the itinerary

 

Day 06: Yulla Kanda Lake (inside the meadows)

 

After Breakfast 4 km trek towards the Yulla Kanda Lake, After spending an hour near the lake, descent back towards the meadow i.e base camp for lunch. Stargazing, dinner, and night stay in tents.

 

Day 07: Back to Yulla Khas Village & Drive to Simla  

 

Today after breakfast, early morning descent towards Yulla Khas village (2-3 hours) and drive back to Shimla. At Shimla, we part ways to meet soon for another trekking adventure Night stay in Simla

 

Day 08: Simla to Chandigarh (110km 31/2 hrs)

 

Breakfast check out and drive back to Chandigarh Airport to connect flight back to home town
