Destination: Srinagar - Gulmarg Srinagar - Pahalgam - Amritsar - Delhi - Agra - Jaipur

Tour Itinerary

Day 1: Arrive Srinagar

 

Arrives Srinagar Airport ,Assistance on Arrival & Proceed To Hotel / Houseboat Check-in. Srinagar is also known as “paradise on earth”& “the venice of asia". Afternoon free overnight in Hotel.

 

Day 2: Srinagar –Gulmarg-Srinagar  (56 Kms).

 

After breakfast leave Hotel / Houseboat & proceed Gulmarg  take a tour of Gulmarg (8700 fts a.s.l ) ”Meadow of Flowers``. Gulmarg has a famous Golf  course during summer (which is one of the highest 18-holes golf course in the world ) & ski resort during winter. overnight in Hotel at Srinagar

 

Day 3: Srinagar -Pahalgam  (88 Kms).

 

After breakfast leave Hotel / Houseboat & proceed Pahalgam take a tour of Pahalgam (7200 fts a.s.l) “Village of  Shepherds “enroute visiting the world  famous saffron growing fields , Awantipura ruins (9th  century ) & martand Temple ( sun temple ). Pahalgam also famous for Indian film industry, some  trekking routes & also base camp for Amarnath pilgrimage. overnight Hotel at Pahalgam.

 

Day 4: Pahalgam  - Srinagar  (87 Kms).

 

After breakfast  transfer to Srinagar and visit Mughal Gardens visiting Cheshmashahi (the royal  spring ), Nishat (the garden of pleasure ), Shalimar (the abode of love) & famous Shankaracharya temple. Afternoon Shikara ride on the lake. overnight in Hotel.

 

 Day 5: Srinagar to Amritsar flight 

 

After breakfast leave for Srinagar Airport to board the flight for onward destination Amritsar

 

On your arrival in Amritsar, meet our representative and get transferred to the hotel. Later, freshen up and leave for Harmandir Sahib, popularly known as the Golden Temple. In the evening, you are free to spend the time at your leisure. You can try out Amritsari Naan which can be found in the local dhabas and restaurants.  Overnight stay.

 

Day 5: Amritsar

 

After breakfast, visit Jallianwala Bagh. This historical area is known for the massacre commissioned by General Dyer, during the British Rule. In the evening, visit Wagah border. The guard changing ceremony every evening in the India- Pakistan border is the highlight of the area (Subject to the permission for the foreign nationals). By late evening, you return to the hotel room for overnight stay.

 

Day 6: Amritsar to Delhi

 

After breakfast, check out from the hotel and proceed to the airport .

 

As you arrive at the Delhi Airport, our tour representative would greet and assist you to the pre-booked hotel. Check in to the hotel and rest. After relaxing for a while, get ready for a Delhi tour. Visit Red Fort, popularly known as Lal Quila (closed on Monday). Afterward, visit Jama Masjid, around 500 m away from Red Fort. Later on, enjoy a drive past the India Gate and the Rashtrapati Bhavan (President House) ending the Delhi sightseeing. Stay overnight in Delhi.

 

Day 7:  Amritsar to Delhi

 

Have an early breakfast and afterward, leave from Delhi to Agra by road (4 hours). The first leg of the Golden Triangle tour is the Agra trip from Delhi. En route, halt to explore one of the finest creations of the Mughals; Sikandra, the mausoleum of the Great Mughal ruler, Akbar.

 

Day 8: Delhi to Agra

 

Upon your arrival at Agra, check in to a pre-booked hotel. Rest for a while and later, proceed for a sightseeing tour of Agra city. Firstly, visit the Taj Mahal. Next, visit the majestic Agra Fort and Itimad-Ud-Daulah's tomb. Enjoy shopping in the evening and explore the whereabouts of the local market, buying souvenirs and handicrafts. Post Agra tour, come back to your hotel for dinner, and slide under the blankets for a restful sleep.

 

Day 9: Agra to Jaipur

 

On the 3rd day of the Golden Triangle tour, start the tour early and get transferred from Agra to Jaipur by road (4 hours). En-route, visit the World Heritage Site of Fatehpur Sikri. Here, explore Jama Masjid, Buland Darwaza - the largest gateway in the world, the Jodha Bai Palace, etc. Thereafter, continue your journey from Agra to Jaipur, the capital city of Rajasthan.

 

On arrival, check into the hotel and go for a sightseeing tour including the magnificent City Palace, Jantar Mantar Observatory, and the Nawab Sahab Ki Haveli. In the evening, indulge in shopping at the vibrant local bazaars. Post Jaipur city tour, return to the hotel for dinner, and enjoy a comfortable overnight stay.

 

Day 10: Delhi

 

Post a leisurely breakfast, visit Amer Fort. As the fort resides on a hill, enjoy a royal elephant ride to the entrance of the fort. Later, shop in the markets for traditional Rajasthani handicrafts and items. You would be driven back to Delhi and further transferred to the airport/railway station for the onward journey back home.
