The Dodham Yatra: One of the holiest pilgrimage circuits of two abodes named Kedarnath and Badrinath in India. In this Yatra, Yatri has to reach Dehradun on the day of flying at Helipad, and then we will fly to Kedarnath Dham followed by Badrinath Dham and back to Dehradun on same day.

 

We understand that how much this Yatra is important for a Pilgrim and keeping this in mind we offer a safe and well-planned Itinerary for this Yatra.

 

Team NTP India Tourism in coordinaƟon with the Helicopter Company is ready to welcome their Guest for this Yatra at our base Dehradun. Doon Helidrome, the state government helipad on Sahastradhara Road, Dehradun is the starting and ending point of this Yatra. Our team will brief each guest about this Yatra on the day they arrive, before flying from Dehradun Helipad.

 

Note: - Yatri’s are requested to follow all the guidelines that are advised by our team and ground staff at each Helipad.

Things to Carry :- Woolen Cap, Umbrella, Stick, Tennis Shoes, Rain Coat, Two pair of Socks, Handy Torch, Moisture cream.

These are very cold places so people should get the warm clothes along with them.

 

Travel Tips for Char Dham Yatra :-

 

Photography :- Still cameras, home video cameras are allowed in Himalayas but only inside the temple are normally not allowed. However please do check with the authorities concerned.

 

Communication :- Please carry if you have any BSNL Mob. Number, it works whole trip, Kedarnath & Badrinath very good connectivity Reliance mobile numbers.  Some times, please be informed that it may be difficult at times to get the connection. If any urgent messages have to be sent to any of the participants, then please contact us.

 

Responsibility :- All arrangements within Chardham Yatra, reserves the right to change itineraries without prior notice, depending on the weather and road condition.

 

Fitness :- A good walk on hilly areas will help you reduce some weight and should put you in the right shape. Porters will be carrying the bulk of your equipment, but it is recommended that you bring a good day pack and are fit enough to carry snacks, filled water bottle/small scissors and knife, waterproof matches, safety pins, Thermometer, Lighter, Dehydration salt (electoral) packets, Neoprene Powder and cream. Heat balm for muscles/joints, Vicksinhaler/vapourub, Chopsticks. Dry Fruits/snacks, camera, Film, Map, Jumper, Sun Hat, First Aid Kit, Light weight Rain Gear, Extra Cloth etc.

 

Attitude Sickness :- This is an environment related condition that can effect anyone who ascends too rapidly to high elevations without acclimatizing properly and also consult your doctor

 

Health Consideration :- All Tourist We do ask you to bring along your own small first aid kit (available at Pharmacies). Some of the items we ask you to bring in the kit are: Antiseptic cream or Wound disinfectant: Iodine and tube-squeeze cream. Foot care and Blister Treatment, band-aids, adhesive roll & strips, gauze pads, moleskin. (please bring ankle high boots to avoid muscle sprain.)

 

Antibiotics: (Triethoprim / Sulfamethoxazole - Bacterium DS or Septran DS

 

Anti - Inflammatory :-

 

· Avil, Brufen or Mortin. Aspirin / Tylenol or general painkillers.

· Strong sunscreen oil, skin antibiotic cream.

 

Insurance :- We recommend that you insure yourself against sickness, EMERGENCY RESCUE, accident hospitalization, etc.. We are not liable and responsible for any damages or extra expenses that may arise from mishaps and the loss of their belongings during the pilgrimage.

 

Clothing's :- Clothing’s for both extremes of climate and temperature. While driving to Chardham Yatra, it will be warm inside the vehicle and light clothing will be required, but as soon as you step out of the vehicle, warm clothing will be required to keep off the cold winds of the Himalayas. Evening will be generally cold and warm clothing will be required We recommend that you bring along the following clothing’s and accessories with you:

DEHRADUN – KEDARNATH – BADRINATH – DEHRADUN

 

Kedarnath: (One of the 12 Jyotirlinga’, set in the beauƟful Mandakini valley, cupped by lofty peaks, the majestic Kedarnath temple stands on a glacial terrace, remnant of an ancient glacier – long since melted. This is lord Shiva’s territory – and the region is a living testimony to his adventures and exploits. The temple is believed to have been built by the Pandavas, protagonists of the Mahabharat, as a tribute to lord Shiva having forgiven them for fratricide after an exciting chase through the Himalayas).

 

Badrinath Ji: (The Badrinath shrine is believed to be as old as ome itself, dedicated to Lord Vishnu, this temple was re-established by Adi Shankaracharya in the 8th century as part of his mission to revitalise Hinduism, located on the banks of the rishi ganga (Alaknanda) the temple and the numerous ancient sites around it, is indeed a worthy goal to aim for).

 

09:00 AM - Reach at Dehradun Helipad by own.

 

10:00 AM - Ready to Fly for Guptkashi.

 

14:00 PM - Fly from Guptkashi to Badrinath Ji.

 

16:00 PM - Fly back to Dehradun.

From Guptkashi / Sersi, we have to fly to Kedarnath Ji Temple via Shuttle Helicopter, Shuttle Helicopter Tickets will be provided for Kedarnath Ji, after reaching Kedarnath Ji Helipad, which is just 500 meters away from the temple, our Ground staff will take you to the temple and arrange your Darshan. After Darshan return to Kedarnath Ji helipad and then transfer back to Guptkashi / Sersi via shuttle Helicopter.

 

After reaching Guptkashi / Sersi proceed for Badrinath Ji by Helicopter, after arrival at Badrinath Ji helipad, our ground staff will take the Yatris’ to the temple and assist them in doing their Darshan at the temple. After Darshan at Badrinath Ji, come back to helipad and fly back to Dehradun.

 

This is the end of Do Dham Yatra with sweet and religious memories which will remain in your heart and make your soul ‘SACRED’ forever.

 

Note: -Exact Schedule of flying will be advised before a day of departure every day by our ground staff. Above mentioned schedule is tentative and just for understanding the operational system & timing. Program can be changed at any moment without prior notice due to any operational or weather changes or technical issue.

 

- For this Yatra we use B3 and Bell 407 helicopters and they can fly with a seating capacity of 06 passenger and a carrying capacity of 435 - 450Kg weight of passengers and 25-30kg weight of their luggage.

 

- There is very limited space for luggage in the helicopter. So only small size bags having 5 kg / lesser luggage per passenger will be permitted.


- Total passenger weight should not exceed 435kg to 450kg per helicopter, however heavy weight passengers are adjusted with reducing their luggage weight or our ground staff manage their weight by many other ways, this information will be given to Yatris’ at the time of flying, so Yatris’ are requested to cooperate and follow the Ground staff instructions.

 

- Weighing at the time of boarding the helicopter is must since the pilot will not allow boarding in case it exceeds the weight conveyed at the time of booking & we reserve the right to shuffle passengers to manage the right weight of helicopters for safe flying in the hills.

 

- At the time of flying, operator will check per person body weight and if it exceeds from the Helicopter flying limit, then client may have to pay extra weight charges i.e. up to Rs2500/kg (cost depends on the circumstance at the time of flying).

 

After Paying for extra weight does not mean that Helicopter will fly with unlimited weight, then also our team and Helicopter can manage 05-10kg extra only or we have to manage their weight by reducing their luggage weight, reducing fuel in the Helicopter or sending their luggage by other mode of transport.

 

Yatri’s are advised to give accurate weight at the Ɵme of booking, failure to do so may lead to deny boarding.

 

Full Refund of the Paid Amount - 60 Days Before the Journey Date.

10 % of the Package Cost - 30 Days Before the Journey Date

50 % of the Package Cost - 15 Days Before the Journey Date

100 % of the Package Cost - 07 Days Before the Journey Date

 

Note: - 10 % of Service charge will be charged in case of cancellation due to any reason like Natural calamity, Government Lockdown, Bad weather, or any other unforeseen reason within 30 Days of the journey date.

 

- Passengers should carry a very small handbag to carry their Mobile, Charger, Medicines, and other personal belongings.

 

- All temples in Chardham Yatra are located on high altitude areas. Passengers having Asthma problems should not undertake this yatra and they should be medically and physically fit.

 

- Passengers are advised to carry Woollen cloths, especially carry Thermal wears because they are very light in weight and does not exceed your luggage weight.

 

- Passengers should carry light weight Rain Coat, Sport shoes, personal medicines, and small oxygen bottle with them as a precaution.

 

- Company shall not be liable for any medical emergency on the ground to the party, thus advised guests to get the fitness certificate from doctor to travel to the high-altitude sector.

 

- Any change in fuel price / Govt Taxes may lead to increase the cost of package and it should be borne by Yatri and will be collected on spot directly from Yatri.

 

- Chardham Heli Yatra is authorized to change the route or itinerary if required.

 

- Violation of company’s policy or misbehave with any of the company’s staff will lead to cancelation of the package with no refund.

 

- Children above the age of 2 years will be considered full ticket.

 

- There is no provision of concession to children or senior citizens.

 

- The booking has to be done in advance with a deposit of 50% of the charter amount and balance amount has to be deposited 30 days prior to date of journey.

 

- In case the journey is not finished within the stipulated time and passengers are not able to visit one or more Dhams due to bad weather conditions/technical reasons then the company will try to visit all places within the stipulated time. Although if this is not possible then the liability of the company will be limited to refund of unutilised sector/s.

- The Company reserves the right, without assigning any reason, to cancel, advance, reschedule, over-fly or delay the commencement or continuance of the flight. Without incurring any liability in damages or otherwise to the passengers or any other person on any ground whatsoever. The Company reserves the right to refuse to carry any person whom it considers unfit for travel or what in the opinion of the company may constitute risk to the aircraft or to the persons on board.

 

Bad Weather Situation

 

- If you are stuck in a bad weather situation on arrival day or any Dham then we will try to finish the darshan on next day. In case we are completely unable to visit any dham due to bad weather situation then we will refund proportionate amount of money. This means that if due to any reason we are unable to do any dham then we will refund the amount acc. to flying Ɵme and unutilized service.

 

- In case if bad weather occurs after flying from Dehradun and guest have to come back to the origin helipad then we will try to do yatra after clearance from ATC on same day or next day but in that case charges for extra flying hours / hotel accommodation will be paid directly to the Helicopter Company and charged from Client on the spot.

 

- 10% service charge will be applicable in Case of cancellaƟon of full trip due to BAD weather.

Tour Guidelines:

 

• VIP Darshans are subject to the orders issued by the temple authorities and State government.

 

• In view of our helicopters’ weight carrying capacity, NTP Chardham Package & Helicopter Service Companyreserves the right to shuffle passengers between helicopters to manage the right weight for safe flying in the hills. Therefore, passengers travelling together may not be accommodated in the same helicopter flight.

 

• Fixed Flight Timings: This is a Daily Fixed Departure Helicopter tour, and departure timings of each destination is fixed. However, NTP Chardham Package & Helicopter Service Companyreserves the right to change/postpone the timings of flying one day prior, subject to weather/force majeure reasons.

 

• Reporting Time at Sersi Helipad: Reporting time will be confirmed by our Sersi team, in the evening one day prior to the tour.

 

• Passengers must submit their correct weights at the time of booking.

 

• Baggage Allowance: Only one baggage weighing a maximum of 5 kgs is allowed per passenger. And it Is not permitted to carry suitcases or big travel bags in the helicopter.

 

• Kedarnath shuttle service: Passengers will be ferried to Kedarnath ji in a shuttle services flight. And it is likely that passengers travelling together may not be accommodated in a same flight.

 

• Any sudden increase in taxes/levy by the State Government or the temple authorities, will be borne by the passengers.

 

• If online yatra registration will be compulsory, then passengers will have to do the same prior to travel.

 

• Comfortable clothing such as tracksuits or Kurtas are advised on the tour. As for shoes, one should carry sports or trekking shoes.

 

• NTP Chardham Package & Helicopter Service Companyhas its own crew at both the Dhams. For assistance, they will be with the passengers always.

 

• Infants below 2 years (Max 12 kg weight) are accommodated free of charge. For verification of age the child, ID proof/birth certificate of the child will be checked.

 

• Any donations, tips, pitthu, extra porter charges shall be borne by the passengers.

 

• Network connectivity at Badrinath is poor. BSNL & Jio are the main telecom services, that work in these regions mostly.

 

• Both the Dham are located at a high altitude, therefore passengers are advised to carry medication during travel. Also, they are advised to carry warm clothing with them, because during evenings & nights, the temperature can drop drastically.
