Haridwar Kumbh Mela, the largest a religious congregation of pilgrims on earth witness millions of people including ascetics, saints, sadhus, kalpavasis, and visitors irrespective of their caste, creed, and gender. The event encapsulates the science of astronomy, astrology, spirituality, ritualistic traditions, social and cultural customs and practices, making it extremely rich inexperience. It is thereby, The Intergovernmental Committee for the Safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage under UNESCO has inscribed ‘Kumbhmela’ on the representative list of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity during its 12th session held at Jeju, South Korea from 4-9 December 2017.

Kumbh Mela is held every 12 years in rotation at the four holy places namely: Hairdwar, Prayagraj, Ujjain, and Nasik. The next Kumbh Mela will be held in Haridwar from January 2021 to April 2021. The last Kumbh Mela organized in Haridwar in 2010 had witnessed approximately 8 crores of pilgrims/ visitors whereas more than 15 crores of pilgrims/visitors are anticipated to visit this time. 

Things to carry

- Water bottles (at least 2 liters of water)

- Comfortable clothes for the duration of the tour

- Sunscreen and sunglasses

- Cap/hat

- Personal Toiletries if any

- Juice packs, Glucon-D, etc.

- Personal medication (if any)

- Allergy medication (if any)

- Mosquito repellent cream

- A torch with new batteries (in case of emergency)

- You can carry energy food (Chocolate bars, flavored milk, electrolyte drinks, etc.)

- Camera (Optional)

- A pair of extra cloth shoes

Advice

All applicable taxes including the GST (Government Service Tax) are inclusive in the package price, however, it is subject to change by the Government. If increases should be payable by the guests at the time of check out.

As per the Government directives, it is mandatory for all the guest to show their Photo ID proof at the time of Check-In. For Indian Citizens id can be in form of a Driving License, Voter ID Card, Aadhaar Card, and Passport. For Foreign nationals & NRI’s Passport with a Valid Visa/Resident permit is mandatory.

Drinking and eating in the public/common area of the camp is not advisable

Any personal expenses or items of personal nature are not included in the package cost.

Make sure that you meet the camp in charge of any emergency, also don’t forget to collect your ID badge while visiting the Mela.

Day 01: Arrival at Haridwar

Pick-up from Haridwar Rly Station. On arrival, check-in at the hotel. After welcome drink, visit Ganga Ghat, take holy dip & participate in Ganga Aarti at Har-Ki-Pauri. Later back to hotel for dinner & overnight stay.

Day 02: Kumbh Mela visit & Temple Tour

Morning have breakfast at hotel, visit Daksha Temple, Mansa Devi Temple & Bharat Mata Mandir. Evening visit Kumbh Mela Area & Akhara, interaction with Naga Sadhus. Enjoy photography of Shadu’s in Akhara or Camps.Dinner & overnight at Haridwar.

Day 03: Departure

Morning after breakfast, check out from the hotel & drop at Haridwar Railway Station for onward journey. Our services terminates here with ultimate blessings of Maa Ganga.
