Jyotirlingas, are actually know as “the Radiant light of the Almighty” are sacred pilgrimage sites for the believers of Lord Shiva. As per our mythological inscriptions there are originally 64 Jyotirlingas in total, but only 12 of them are considered holy. Each Hindu devotee wishes to visit all the Jyotirlingas to get the blessings of the Lord.

 

NTP India Tourism have planned a special to visit 7 of the Jyotirlingas in 9 Days and 8 nights. As this is a tailormade package so we can reduce and modify it as per your requisite.

Day 1: Delhi to Rajkot by flight – Somnath

Day 2: Somnath – Diu (by car) – Mumbai (by flight) – Mumbai – Arrival

Tour Itinerary Details

 

Day 1: Delhi to Rajkot by flight – Somnath

 

On Day One start and connect flight to Rajkot and then from the airport, begin your road journey to Somnath, a holy town in Gujarat, abode of one of the 12 Jyotirlingas in India. Upon reaching, check-in at the hotel and relax. In the evening, get ready to pay a visit to the famous Somnath temple for aarti and darshan. The holy Jyotirlinga is an ancient site with interesting legends. People from all over of the world are attracted by the wealth of beautiful architecture. Explore the environment and be the part of the divine aarti.

 

Dinner and overnight stay in Somnath.

 

Day 2: Somnath – Diu (by car) – Mumbai (by flight) – Mumbai – Arrival

 

Start the day early with the early breakfast check out and drive to Diu Airport to board the flight to Mumbai. On arrival at the Mumbai airport, get transfer to your hotel for overnight stay.

 

Day 3: Mumbai – Bhimashankar

 

On this day three of the 7 Jyotirlinga Darshan, pay a visit to Bhimashankar to another one of the 12 highly sacred Jyotirlingas in India.

 

After having your breakfast, begin your drive to the holy town housing the Jyotirlinga, which is around 220 km from Mumbai. On arrival in the holy town of Bhimashankar, check-in to the hotel.

 

After a while of rest, get ready to visit the Bhimashankar Temple and seek blessings of the divine form of Lord Shiva. Later in the evening, drive towards the Bhimashankar Wildlife Sanctuary, to revel in its pristine natural beauty.

 

Return to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

 

Day 4: Bhimashankar – Grishneshwar - Aurangabad

 

After an early breakfast leave for a visit to Grishneshwar. One of the revered 12 Jyotirlingas in India, Grishneshwar temple is not only architecturally beautiful but the revered ambiance is sure to leave you spellbound. Mentioned in the ancient Shiva Purana, text dedicated to Lord Shiva, here you can learn about the ancient architecture, hear the legends, feel the bliss and more.

 

Later, proceed with drive to Aurangabad for overnight stay at hotel.

 

Day 5: Aurangabad – Trimbakeshwar to Mumbai

 

Start the morning with breakfast. Later drive towards Trimbakeshwar temple, another of the holy shrines of Jyotirlingas in India. This shrine is associated with the origin of the River Godavari where pilgrims offer prayers both to the Lord and River Goddess.

 

After receiving all blessings, start with drive towards Mumbai. On arrival in the city, check in at the hotel for overnight stay.

 

Day 6: Mumbai to Indore (By flight) and Ujjain (by road)

 

Post breakfast, transfer to airport to board flight to Indore. On your arrival, drive towards Ujjain, shrine of Lord Mahakaleshwar, one of the holy 12 Jyotirlingas in India. One of the holiest temples of Lord Shiva, the town receives crowds of devotees every year.

Day 7: Ujjain - Omkareshwar

 

On the 7th day of the holy tour, begin your journey by the road to Omkareshwar. Home to the holy shrine of one of the 12 Jyotirlinga of Lord Shiva, the town is around 4 hrs. away by road. Pay a visit and have darshan of the Omkareshwar Jyotirlinga and also attend aarti.

 

Dinner and overnight stay in Omkareshwar.

 

Day 8: Omkareshwar – Maheshwar

 

Attend an early morning Abhishekam ceremony at Omkareshwar Jyotirlinga, making the perfect start of the dat. After seeking blessings of the Lord, have breakfast and then continue your road journey to Maheshwar Jyotirlinga.

 

On arrival in the town, check in at the hotel. Rest for a while after which visit the Maheshwar Temple in the evenings. Attend the pre-booked Bhasm Arti at the time of Darshan and get showered by the blessings.

 

Overnight stay in Maheshwar hotel.

 

Day 9: Maheshwar – Indore drop

 

Start the day with breakfast, after which begin drive towards Indore and drop at airport or railway station.
