This short tour is an ideal introduction to Northeast India as it covers the most visited destinations in Assam and Meghalaya - Guwahati and Kaziranga in Assam, Shillong and Cherrapunji in Meghalaya.
Tour Itinerary
Day 1 : Arrival Guwahati
On arrival with meeting and assistance at the airport/railway station. Our NTP representative will meet to welcome and escort you and straight transfer to Hotel. Afternoon visit Kamakhya Temple, Umananda Temple, Kalakshetra, Balaji Temple back to the hotel. Overnight stay at Hotel in Guwahati.
Day 2 : Guwahati - Shillong
After breakfast, you will be driven to Shillong, on the way to visit Umiam Lake (guests can do a boat ride on a direct payment basis). On arrival at Shillong check-in at the hotel. In the evening guest can walk around the Local Lewduh ( Police Bazar) Market at Shillong. Overnight stay at hotel in Shillong.
Day 3 : Shillong – Cherrapunjee - Shillong
This morning, you will proceed to a day excursion to Cherrapunjee (54 km from Shillong) Cherrapunjee, the capital of the British till 1874 affords an astounding perspective on the essence of Meghalaya, ‘The Abode of Clouds. Visit the waterfalls, Viewpoints, etc. After sightseeing back to Shillong via Elephant falls. Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 4 : Shillong – Mawlynnong - Shillong
The morning after an early breakfast, you will proceed for a full-day excursion to, Mawlynnong Village with Living Root Bridge has earned the distinction of being the Cleanest Village in Asia the picturesque village, offers many interesting sights such as the living root bridge and another strange natural phenomenon of a boulder balancing on another rock. Mawlynnong nestled in the pristine hill state of Meghalaya is along the Indo-Bangla border known as Dawki Village. This cute and colorful little village is known for its cleanliness. Overnight stay at Shillong.
Day 5 : Shillong - Kaziranga National Park
In the morning, check out from the hotel, and visit Shillong Local Sightseen & you will be transferred to Kaziranga National Park. Overnight stay at Kaziranga Hotel.
Day 6 : Kaziranga National Park - Guwahati Airport/Guwahati Station
After breakfast check out from the hotel and transfer to airport/railway station to board flight/train for onward destination. End of Our Services ( Check-in/ Check-out time is 1200 Hrs. at all hotels )
