Best Time for Manimahesh Trek

There is a lot of snow till June which can make your Manimahesh Yatra and trek very uncomfortable and not very nice. The best time to go for the Manimahesh Yatra is the end of August when there is almost no snowfall and the weather is very clear with no bad weather conditions. September is also a good option as the daytime temperature is between 12 to 20°C. However, you must note that the nights in September can be cool and the temperature can drop below -5°C.

How to Reach Manimahesh Trek

The Manimahesh Trek is well connected to most of the important towns in Uttarakhand. The following guide provides details on how to reach the Manimahesh Trek by car, train or flight.

By Road: The most convenient way to reach Chamba from Delhi is to take a Volvo or HRTC bus directly from Kashmere Gate to Chamba. Night buses can take you directly to Chamba, from where you can board another bus or take a taxi to Bharmour.

By Air: The nearest airport to Manimahesh is the Gaggar Airport. It is 176 km from Barmur. To reach Barmur from Gaggar Airport, you can take a private taxi or public transport.

By Train: The nearest railway station to Manimahesh is the Pathankot Railway Station. There are direct trains between Delhi and Pathankot.

Itineraries are subject to change and are dependent on information available at the time of preparation. As conditions permit, “NTP Tourism Affairs Limited” retains the right to change expedition dates, people, or itinerary. The cost of delays and/or other changes is the responsibility of the participant if a trip must be delayed or the itinerary changed due to bad weather, road conditions, transportation delays, government intervention, airline schedules, sickness, or other contingency for which NTP or its agents cannot make provision. For any reason, TEAM NTP reserves the right to refuse or accept any individual as a tour member.

– On Expeditions, at Base Camp, ration and equipment equally distributed among the climbers for load ferry.
– All Technical Gears will be UIAA Certified. Any loss/damage will be charged @1.5 times of actual value to cover up shipping and custom duties OR you can arrange by you.
– No show and trek changes/cancellation due to bad weather or natural calamity will be non-refundable.
– In case an extra day is utilized, an additional amount would be charged, pay on the spot.
– Our team reserves the right to change the plan/itinerary in case there is danger involved.
– Any additional costs due to weather/unforeseen situations, cost of rescue will have to be borne by the climber/you.
– Carry your personal luggage on your own, if you don’t wish to carry it, you can give it to the porter, but you have to inform us in advance and have to pay extra on the basis of per day per bag.
– Extreme Himalayan Trips require a good amount of physical fitness, stamina and endurance so prepare accordingly.
– In case of bad health, sickness/illness, AMS the participant would be sent back and no refund would be provided. Participants have to bear all the return costs on the spot.

Cancellation Policy

NO REFUND SHALL BE MADE WITH RESPECT TO THE BOOKING AMOUNT FOR ANY CANCELLATIONS. HOWEVER, we totally understand that unforeseen circumstances might need you to change plans, and so NTP cancellation policy makes it easier to do that. Please read them very carefully.

    - Cancellations up to 30 days prior to departure date – 10% deduction (payment gateway & bank charges).
    - Between 30 days to 15 days prior to departure – 50% deduction.

    - There will be no refund if you cancel within 15 days before your departure.
    - In any case, the Booking Amount is Non-Refundable.

No cancellations will be taken over call or what’s app msg. Please reply to the email of payment receipt that you have received at the time of booking.

In case of government restrictions, bad weather, protests, landslides, road blockage, administrative ban, lockdown, strike or any other unforeseen circumstances which is beyond our control, certain activities during the trek/trip/expedition or the event itself may be cancelled/skipped, or there could be change in the itinerary.

In such instances, we will do our utmost to find an alternative (in the case of event cancellation or rescheduling).

However, there would be no financial refund for the same. You will receive a full refund if the trip is cancelled by us due to a lack of a minimum number of individuals in the batch. Additionally, if you purchased trip insurance, rentals, off-loading, or other activities, you will not receive a refund. The booking amount is non-refundable in any case

If a trek or trip or expedition cannot be completed due to natural calamity/unforeseen circumstances beyond our control (bad weather conditions like rain, snowfall, earthquake, landslides, road block, ban, strike, bandh, etc.). No refund would be provided.

Any extra expense coming due to any natural calamity/bad weather/unforeseen circumstances (rain, snowfall, earthquake, landslides, strike, ban, road block, bandh, extra stay, food, transportation or taxi cost etc.), Will be borne by customers on the spot. Company will not be liable.

All refunds will be sent to the same bank account or credit card account or UPI that was used to make the purchase. Within 10 working days, the refund amount will be completed. The amount of the refund will always be computed based on the net amount paid for the event booking and the Base Price of the event. Itinerary

Day 1 : Amritsar - Bharmour Arrival

Arrive Bharmour & check Bharmani Mata Temple – Bharmour (6Km Trek Accamiltasion Day)
Early in the morning after breakfast and taking pack lunch, trek to Bharmani Temple. Bharmani temple is
situated at the ridge and is 03 km trek from Bharmour. In evening return back to Bharmour and check into hotel)

Day 2 : Bharmour – Hadsar – Kugti (20 Kms by Taxi & 6Km Trek)

Early in the morning after breakfast and taking pack lunch, move to Hadsar then Dhanaul via taxi. From Dhanaul the actual trek to Manimahesh Parikrama will start. A run of 02 -03 hrs along with Bhujla stream will reach you at beautiful & unexplored Village Kugti. Kugti is last village of Bharmour. Enjoy and rest for left day in the camp.

Day 3 : Kugti – Kartik Temple - Dalotu (08 Kms Trek)

Early in the morning around 6:00 am after breakfast and taking pack lunch start trek to Kartik temple. The temple is dedicated to the son of Lord Shiva known as Kartik. After reaching Kartik temple glimpse the beauty of surroundings and take lunch. After lunch move to another beautiful camp site Dalotu. After reaching check into camp and enjoy left day.

Day 4 : Dalotu – Base Camp (10Km Trek )

After taking breakfast early in the morning at camp troop will pass through the dense forest, cross a small stream over wooden bridge then climb for half hour along the bank of the stream, After a straight and alpine walk of half an hour over boulders the trail climbs steeply for another half an two hours to the Alyas. After taking lunch at Alyas camping ground enjoy whole left day and rest for a night in tents after taking dinner.

Day 5 : Base Camp – Chobu Pass – Kamal Kund – Manimahesh (12Km Trek)

Alyas - Manimahesh Lake 12 km trek is totally depending upon the weather and physical condition of trekker.

Generally Tour Guide will not take the risk or allow crossing the passes in bad weather condition and will wait for clearing the sky. If sun shine then after taking light breakfast and packed lunch start moving ahead very early in the morning around 5:00 am After a section over moraine, a usually visible trek in snow winds upwards, well-trodden and with the way. After crossing the pass gradual path of up and downs for half an hour troop will reach destination Kamalkund. Kamalkund is a small lake dedicated to lord Shiva. After spending some time at Kamalkund move forward to Manimahesh Lake. After reaching Manimahesh Lake take holy dip in the lake and spend left day at Manimahesh Lake.

Day 6 : Manimahesh – Gaurikund – Dhancho –Bharmour (14Km Trek & 14 Kms by Taxi)

After taking breakfast in the morning at camp, troop will trek downhill to Gourikund. Visit Gourikund and spend half an hour at Gourikund move further to Dhancho. After reaching Dhancho enjoy the water fall and take the lunch and some rest. After rest, trek to Hadsar. After reaching Hadsar take the taxi and reach Bahrmour. At Bharmour check into hotel and in evening visit ancient Chaurasi temples.)

Day 7 : Bharmour -Amritsar Departure

After breakfast the departure of troop will be done from Bharmour.
