Itinerary

Day 01: Guwahati – Shillong (Barapani)
Arrive at Guwahati Airport, you will be received by our representative and then drive to Maa Kamakhya temple to take the blessing of the Goddess, and then proceed to Shillong (Barapani) (110 Kms/3 Hrs). We will check into one of the best resort in Meghalaya, situated near the Umiam Lake. Evening will be at leisure and overnight stay in Ri Kynjai.
Shillong is the capital and hill station of Meghalaya, also known as “The Abode of Clouds”, one of the smallest states in India. It is the headquarters of the East Khasi Hills district and is situated at an average altitude of 4,908 feet above sea level, with the highest point being Shillong Peak at 6,449 feet. Shillong is the 330th most populous city in India with population of 143,007 according to the 2011 census. It is said that the rolling hills around the town reminded the European settlers of Scotland. Hence, they would also refer to it as the “Scotland of the East”.

Day 02: Shillong (Barapani) – Cherrapunjee
Today after breakfast we proceed to Cherrapunjee (76 Kms/2 Hrs one way)- the wettest place on the Earth. There will be many sightseeing points enroute, we visit Elephant Falls, Nohkalikai Falls (the fourth highest falls in the world), Dainthlen Falls, Mawsmai Lime Stone Cave, Seven Sister Falls, and Eco Park. After exploring for the day we will check into a luxury resort in Cherrapunjee, evening at leisure and overnight stay.
Note: In Winters Water Will Be Lesser In Falls Compare To Monsoon Season.

Day 03: Cherrapunjee – Mawllynnong – Shillong (Barapani)
Today after breakfast proceed for Mawllynnong Village, The Cleanest Village in Asia (110 kms / 03 hrs drive approx). Reach Mawllynnong and explore the cleanest village in Asia. We will also experience the wonder of the Khasi War Tribes – The Single Dekker Living Root Bridge at Riwai Village. After exploring the village we drive to DAWKI, a small bordering town between India and Bangladesh, here in Dawki enjoy a boat ride in The Umngot River bordering India and Bangladesh, also known as crystal clear river. After exploring for the day we will drive back to Barapani and stay the last night in Meghalaya. Stay will be in Ri Kynjai.
Day 04: Shillong – Kaziranga National Park
Today after breakfast we visit Don Bosco Museum and later proceed to Kaziranga (280 kms/ 07 hrs drive), reach Kaziranga and check into hotel. Overnight stay at Kaziranga.
Day 05: Kaziranga National Park
Today you will go for safaris and elephant ride inside the national park. Early morning go for an Elephant ride (timing 5:00 AM/ 06:00 AM/ 7:00 AM – Seat allotment as per forest Dept.) then return back to the hotel for breakfast. Post breakfast visit Orchid Park, Tea Garden and Kohora Local Market. Later after lunch go for afternoon Jeep Safari (Timing 02:00 PM). Evening visit Orchid Park to enjoy Assamese Traditional Bihu Dance. Overnight stay at Kaziranga.
Day 06: Kaziranga – Guwahati
Today after breakfast later proceed to Guwahati airport (5 Hrs) on time for onward destination.
