Itinerary

Day 01: Dehradun to Agoda

Our team will receive you in the morning with escort & vehicle. Today, we’ll drive to Agoda village near Uttarkashi. It will be a 190 km drive and should take 8 hours approx. Our team will escort and facilitate the transport to our homestay in Agoda and be ready to host you for evening tea, dinner & night stay.

Overnight in homestay.

Day 02: Agoda to Manjhi trek

After an early breakfast, we’ll start the trek to Manjhi - a seasonal hamlet of a few straw huts. The trail kicks moderately uphill for a few km and later false-flat out a bit. We’ll reach our campsite by noon where we’ll pitch our tents and enjoy a beautiful evening inside a dense forest.

Overnight in tents.

Day 03: Manjhi to Dodital lake

After breakfast, you’ll start the trek to Dodi tal lake. The trail is moderately up and down and easy for most parts. We’ll cross a few streams now before we reach this pristine alpine lake. We’ll pitch our tents and spend quality time with nature and do nature hikes in the vicinity.

Day 04: Darwa Top hike

We’ll begin the trek through a rivulet that feeds the Dodital Lake. All the way uphill, Darwa top is a 5-km hike to the top and back to the Dodital campsite. It’s a pebbly trail till halfway and thereafter turns into an alpine grassland trail. At Darwa Top you get a close look at some high Himalayan peaks like Banderpoonch and Gangotri peaks. After a breather and some munchies, we will head back to the campsite and spend around these natural landscapes.

Day 05: Dodi tal to Agoda vill

It’s time to return. We take the same trail back to Agora village today, which is downhill almost all the way. Enjoy the scenes, nature, and culture of Agora village. Spend a memorable evening in a remote world of magnets & miracles.

Day 06: Drive to Uttarkashi (Side tour/buffer day)

We have kept a buffer day in this tour. After driving from Agoda vill, we check-in our hotel in Uttarkashi. This extra day can be used to visit Nachiketa Tal for a half day drive+hike trip. Return to Uttarkashi.

Day 07: Drive to Haridwar

Today, you’ll drive back to Dehradun. It is 190 km drive and should take 7-8 hours approx. The tour terminates here.

Trekking Essentials

Following gears would be required to accomplish a Himalayan trek in convenient manner. Please check with us if anything is doubtful.

 - A Daypack / Knapsack (that you self-carry during the hike and it should include your pack lunch, water bottle, jacket, poncho, etc.)
 - Rucksack and/or Duffel bag worth 50/60 liters for your other essential items (can be carried by porter or ponies as a self-paid service)
 - Poncho / snow-cheater for yourself self and covers for your backpack and knapsack/day pack
 - One pair Trekking dedicated boots (Leather/rain proof/high ankle) that has a robust Vibram sole
 - Trekking poles will give you more stability and balance and reduce your energy consumption as Himalayan trek has steep ascents and descents. In addition, two trekking poles will give you greater stability and balance.
 - Personal medication (basic first-aid)
 - One pair of floaters/sandals/slippers
 - Inner thermals (upper and lower, can be used for night wear)
 - One mountain jacket (Down feather or similar)
 - One fleece jacket
 - Minimum one Trekking Trouser needed during the hikes
