Day 1: Arrival Dehradun/ Haridwar
Arrival Pick up Overnight stay at Dehradun
Day 2: Dehradun (210kms/7-8hr) HT: 1352 MTS. Via Mussoorie. O/N stay in Barkot/ hanumanchatti.
You can start comfortably after having breakfast and early morning bathing in Ganga. Normally from Haridwar to Barkot takes 07 hrs comfortable with a short break at Kampty fall if preferred otherwise with a nonstop stretch we can reach in 06 Hrs. Normally in peak season time there is heavy rush in Mussoorie so sometimes we can divert the route to Barkot via Vikas Nagar. In this case Kampty fall sight-seeing can be discarded under last moment decision. Upon reaching Barkot / hanumanchatti, we will have dinner and retired for the day & Night Halt.
Day 3: Barkot / Hanuman chatti– Yamunotri- Barkot / Hnaumanchatti(42 Kms & 5 Kms Trek) Each side:-O/N stay in Barkot
Early Morning leave for Jankichatti via Hanuman Chatti & Phool Chatti. On arrival Janki Chatti start Trek of 05 kms for Yamunotri. Upon reach at Yamunotri Dham experience Holi Dip in Garam (Tapt)Kund and then Pooja and Darshan of Shree Yamunotri Ji, after Darshan and Pooja, afternoon start trek back to Janki Chatti on arrival Janki Chatti meet with driver and drive back to Barkot. Overnight stay at Hotel.
Hanuman Chatti: The confluence of Hanuman Ganga & Yamuna River.
Yamunotri Temple: Maharani Gularia of Jaipur built the temple in the 19th Century. It was destroyed twice in the present century and rebuilt again.
Surya Kund: There are a Number of thermal springs in the vicinity of the temple, which flows into numerous pools. The most important of these is Surya Kund
Divya Shila: A rock pillar, worshipped before entering the Yamunotri Temple.
Day 4: Barkot /Hanumanchatti– Uttarkashi- Gangotri. (200kms/4hr) HT : 1158 MTS. O/N Stay in Gangotri.
Early morning Drive to Gangotri with packed breakfast. Next day early morning we need to start tracking for Bhojwasa so we will stay in Gangotri on day 04. En route Visit Vishwanath Temple in Uttarkashi and proceed for Gangotri. Having darshan and evening pooja at Gangotri before you check in to your hotel. Check in Hotel. Night Halt.
Gangotri: Gangotri temple is 18th Century temple dedicated to Goddess Ganga. It is located near a sacred stone where king Bhagirath worshipped Lord Shiva Ganga is believed to have touched earth at this spot. Accordingly to another legend, Pandavas performed the great Deva Yagna here to a tone the death of their kinsmen in the epic battle of Mahabharata. The temple is an exquisite 20 ft. high structure made of white granite.
Ritual and Activities: Perform Snan at Gangotri Ghat (VIP Ghat), Ganga Pujan & Aarti at Gangotri Ghat, Darshan of Bhagirath Shila ,Darshan of Gauri Ganesha Temple, Finally Gangotri Temple Darshan after that you must have Darshan of Surya Kund.
Day 5: Gangotri – Bhojvasa (14 Kms Trek) Height: 3048 MTS. O/N stay in Bhojwasa.
Early morning proceed to Gangotri, en-route at. On arrival at Shree Gangotri, take a holy dip in the sacred river Ganges which is also called Bhagirathi at its origin. Perform Pooja and Darshan, Later start trek to Bhojvasa via Chirvasa. On arrival Check in at Tent or Guest House. Overnight stay in Bhojvasa.
Gangotri. There is a Tourist Bungalow at Bhojbasa, 14 kms. from Gangotri where lodging and other facilities are available. From Gangotri we move along the beaten track towards Chirbasa, which is on the tree line. From here, we can get a clear view of the Bhagirathi Peak.
Day 6: Bhojvasa – Gaumukh – Bhojvasa (05 Kms Trek One Way):
Morning start trek to Gaumukh. On arrival Gaumukh explore Gaumukh. Than trek down to Bhojvasa. Overnight stay in Bhojvasa.
Gaumukh : Gaumukh is where the waters of Ganga trickle down from the glaciers. The sages called it ‘Gaumukh’, because in the distant past, it probably appeared like a cow’s mouth; though today it no longer appears so. The Gaumukh glacier is the source of Bhagirathi (Ganga) and is held in high esteem by the devouts who do not miss the opportunity to have the holy dip in the bone chilling icy water.
Day 7: Bhojvasa – Gangotri – Uttarkashi (14 Kms Trek + 100 Kms Drive)
Morning trek down to Gangotri. Upon arrival Gangotri meet to driver and drive to Uttarkashi. On arrival Check in at Hotel. Overnight stay at Hotel.
Leave Bhojbasa & proceed for Gangotri early in the morning. Offering prayers & pooja darshan, later drive back to Uttarkashi , en route visit Gangnani. Gangnani take a holy dip in Garam Kund, further drive to Uttarkashi via beautiful Harsil Valley. While returning Darshan of Gupteshwar Mahadev temple in Dharali , Interact with Tibetan Culture and people in Harsil.Overnight stay at Uttarkashi.
Harsil : Harsil is famous for its nature beauty and for the majestic views of the Deodar trees and mountains.
Gangnani: Further up on way to Gangotri, is the hot water spring at Gangnani, where one can have refreshing bath in the kund called Rishikund. There is a temple near the kund dedicated to the Sage Parashar, believed to be the father of Ved Vyas.
Day 8: Uttarkashi – Guptkashi-Sitapur (290 Kms/ 8-9 hrs). O/N Stay in Sitapur
Leave early in the morning with packed breakfast for almost day long drive to Sitapur via Guptkashi. On your drive you would pass through Ganga giving way to Tehri Dam (The Hydro Electric Project). Overnight stay in the hotel at Sitapur/Guptkashi. This stretch is the longest road travel in between the places of entire Chardham Yatra destinations. Sometimes it takes more than 10hrs if some traffic congestion is there. Upon reach Sitapur/Rampur/Guptkashi we will take rest . Night stay in Hotel.
Day 9: Sitapur –Phata/Sirsi – Kedarnath –Phata-Sitapur -O/N Stay in Sitapur
Here is the day when you are preparing for the Chardham Yatra most wanted and toughest part “The Darshan Of Shre Kedarnath Ji” . Here many pilgrims have their own choices and preferences as per their physical ability and comfort. We have designed the program for both of the pilgrims whoever proffered to trek or complete the journey by helicopter.
Day 10; Return back to Sitapur after trek of 06 hrs - O/N stay in Sitapur
On this day we will stay in Sitapur to keep a buffer time in hand to handle any last moment delay because of bad weather or any technical or medical reason. This is best way to arrange an itinerary or program for both trekkers and flyers to Shri Kedarnath Ji. In lack of geographical knowledge and climate conditions of this divine land some passengers or some travel agents or tour operators use to keep neck to neck to program for 02 nights in Kedarnath Ji region this always create problem and they themselves use to disturb their further program. You should cover the sight-sing or Darshan of Shri Triyugi Narayan Temple (Optional and Chargeable Extra) for maximum use of this day if we stay in Sitapur.
Or Sitapur-Chopta- Govind Ghat/Pandukeshwar -200 kms / 07-08 hrs). O/N Stay Govind Ghat/Pandukeahwar
If kedarnath Darshan is completed on Day 07 or Day 08 Morning than and we feel comfortable to proceed ahead and to reach Pandukeshwar (Badrinath) then we can start to Pandukeshwar by late morning and easily reach there in 06 hrs for Night Stay in Pandukeahwar. Pandukeshwar is the nearest to Badrinath Ji and one of the best place to spend a night before Darshan of Shri Badrinath Ji. Here KshetraPal Temple of Shri Badrinath Ji & Yog Dhyan Badri Temple is an extra opportunity to know about Shri Badrinath Ji. By living in Pandukeshwar we have an opportunity of visiting 03 of Shree Badrinath as Shri Badrinath Temple, Shri Yog Dhyan Badri & Shri Aadi Badri will add more spiritual advantages in this journey .
Day 11; Sitapur –Chopta- Pandukeshwar - Badrinath (220 kms / 07-08 hrs). O/N Stay in Badrinath
After a normal and comfortable wake up and breakfast we will proceed to Badrinath Ji Via Chopta-Pipalkoti-Joshimath-Govindghat. The road from Guptkashi to Chopta and then to Pipalkoti is good for small vehicles, the road from Pipalkoti and then to Joshimath is better. We will reach Badrinath in evening and night stay in Shree Badrinath. If we reach on time then we can make short visit to temple to participate in evening Aarti. Normally you canot hold your mind or resist of visiting temple or Darshanam of shree Badrinath Ji (Moksha Dham) upon reach there. Overnight stay flowed by dinner.
Badrinath: Cradled in the twin Mountain ranges of Nar and Narayan is the holiest of the four main shrines - Badrinath along the left bank of river Alaknanda with the towering Neelkantha Peaks as the splendid backdrop. Once the spot was carpeted with 'badris' or wild berries and hence was famous as Badri van. Legend has it, when the Ganga was requested to descend to earth to help suffering humanity; the earth was enable to withstand the force of its decent. Therefore the mighty Ganga was split into 12 holy channels. Alaknanda was one of them that later became the abode of Lord Vishnu or Badrinath.
Narad Kund: A recess in the river, near Tapt Kund, forming a pool from where the Badrinath idol was recovered.
Brahama Kapal: It is a flat platform a few yards north of the temple and on the bank of river Alaknanda. It is an important place for shhradh ceremony or offering of pinds to ensure a heavenly place for dead ancestors or manes. It is said that offering pind here, the manes are permanently enshrined in heaven and no more pinds are to be done elsewhere ever afterwards. Legends have it that when Shiva chopped of the fifth head of Brahma, it got stuck to his trident. Lastly with the blessing of Lord Vishnu at Badrivan, the head of Brahma fell down from the trident at this place & hence the name Brahma-Kapal (head).
Sheshnetra: It is a large block of stone between tow small seasonal lakes carrying an eye of "Sheshnag" The eye formation is quite natural, 1.5kms. away is a boulder having an impression of the legendary serpent, better known as the Sheshnag's eye, it is believed that the seshnag waits at this place patiently to accompany the lord on his reincarnation.
Mana Village: Inhabited by an Indo-Mongolian tribe, it is the last Indian village before Tibet. The women of the village offer Choli to the deity on closing day of the temple each year.
Bhim Pul: On the other side of Mana village, a massive rock forming a natural bridge, lies over the roaring Saraswati river. It presents a spectacular view of water thundering down through the narrow passage under the rock and is believed to have been placed there by Bhim, the second eldest among the five Pandava brothers.
Vyas Gufa (cave): Near Mana Village, this is a rock-cave where Ved Vyas is believed to have composed the Mahabharata and the pauranic commentaries.
Day 12: Badrinath – Govind Ghat-Joshimath-Auli-Joshimath. O/N in Joshimath
Early Morning take a holy dip in Tapt Kund , Have again Darshan of Badri Vishal if time allows otherwise Important visit to Nag Nagin Pith (One of the important place in India for Sarp kal Dosh Nivaran),Short Visit to Mana Village (Vyas Cave , Ganesha Cave , Keshav Prayag , Darshan of Sarasawati Udgam (origin) ), Charan Paduka Darshan after we will proceed to Auli S/S via Roop way. Short visit of Ekadasi Gufa & hanuman Gufa. View of Vishnu Prayag ,Nandprayag , Karnprayag while returning back to Joshimath.
Day 13: Joshimath-Rudraprayag- Srinagar (120 Kms)
Morning trek down to Govindghat upon arrival Govindghat driver back to Rudraprayag. En-route we will visit Auli in Joshimath. This will be a break for 03-04 hrs to enjoy excursions to Auli. Again in afternnon we will start to Rudraprayag. En-route visit Nandpryag (Confluence of Nandakini and Alaknanda River). Karanpryag (Confluence of Pinder River and Alaknand River). On arrival Srinagar check in at hotel. Overnight stay at hotel.
Rudraprayag: It is the confluence of river Mandakini and river Alaknanda.
Temples: Rudranath and Chamunda Devi, Koteshwar Temple (3 Kms).
Rituals & Activities: Visit Rudraprayag & Sangam Darshan (Merge of Alaknanda & Mandakini).
Day 14: Rudraprayag- Devprayag –Rishikesh-Haridwar – (140 kms/05hr) .S/S Rishikesh. O/N stay in Haridwar
Early morning after breakfast, we will make a short visit of MahaRudra Temple at Sangam confluence of Alaknanda & Mandakini. Here we can have Darshan of Maa Chamunda Devi Shakti Peeth. After that we will proceed to Rishikesh and on the way we will view of 05th and last Parayag-Dev Parayag in this route. Arrive Rishikesh and you will visit Laxamn Jhula and Ram Jhula on your own as this is not motorable. Vehicle will wait for you in parking. Best way to visit this part of Rishikesh is to enter by Laxman Jhula and exit from Ram Jhula. You can also see many Ghats and temples and beautiful Ashrams. Rishikesh is next home of Sadhus & Saints. It is also called Capital land of Yoga. You need to keep watch on time if you have missed your Ganga Aarti on day 01 upon arrival to Haridwar. So it is in your hand how fast you finish your sight-seeing and reach Har-Ki-Pouri, Haridwar for Ganga Aarti. It generally starts by 06:00 PM in Summers and 5:15 PM in winters. Those who have enjoyed on day 01 can have opportunity to enjoy some more time in Rishikesh. Late evening before dinner reach Haridwar. This is your last day and evening so must have to arrange your bags and pack. Evening you can enjoy shopping in Haridwar and Rishikesh.
